SAN DIEGO ZOO
We were greeted by this big ole peacock before we even got in the gate of the zoo, he served to get the kids super excited about what we were about to see. First we went to the petting zoo. Jonas wasn't even a little afraid of the farm animals but Eliza & Maddie were a bit shy of them. They each had favorite things they liked. Jonas pointed out this Cavy, which looked like a porcupine. One of Maddie's favorite animals was this red billed duck. We watched it for a while & she made sure I got a picture of it. Eliza really liked the baby giraffe whose name was Helen. If I remember right, she was almost 3 weeks old. This bigger giraffe was curious about us and walked over to check us out. Eliza also was excited about the monkeys, but I don't have a picture of them. We got to ride the double decker bus, and we even sat up stairs on the top deck right in the front!!
